Overview In this role you design, build, and optimize enterprise Kubernetes platforms powering AI workloads for mission customers. You work on scalable infrastructure at a customer site, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance and security requirements. You drive automation, IaC, and compliant operations to support federal standards, enabling reliable, secure AI pipelines. This position offers hands-on work with cutting-edge GPU and high-speed networking in a mission-focused environment. ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes platformsDefine and optimize Kubernetes architecture with performance and efficiency goalsDevelop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Bash, Python or similarCollaborate on secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD)Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, and platform layersMaintain technical documentation, architectural specifications, and Linux best practicesSupport Authority to Operate (ATO) and ensure compliance with federal security standards Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years in Platform Engineering or System EngineeringStrong Linux expertise (RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, Rocky)Experience administering and scaling Kubernetes clustersHands-on Docker/container lifecycle experienceKubernetes + AI/ML workflow orchestration tools (Argo, Airflow, Kubeflow)Strong RESTful API integration and automation skillsDoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP) or higher (IAT Level III acceptable: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP)Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required or willingness to obtain; US Citizenship requiredExcellent problem-solving abilitiesCollaborative teamworkEffective communicationLinux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, Rocky)Kubernetes cluster administration (deployment, scaling, maintenance)Docker and container image management
