Collaborate with your team to deconstruct tasks into manageable, testable components, delivering high-quality solutions through Test-Driven Development and automated testing.ResponsibilitiesBuild low-latency, highly available, and performant applicationsBuild reusable code and libraries using test-driven developmentLogically identify and resolve issues using root cause analysisAdhere to our coding standardsUse proper branching and code review processesProvide estimates for the level of effort and time for completionTake part in and encourage your team to pair programWork closely with your team to build automated tests and ensure they are valuable and our applications meet expectationsWork closely with your team to break down features into small testable storiesLearn and apply AI technologies: Gain familiarity with AI tools and frameworks to assist in software development tasks such as automated testing, code optimization, and data analysis, contributing to improved project outcomes.Support AI integration: Collaborate with senior engineers to implement AI-driven features and functionalities within applications, ensuring smooth integration and enhancing overall performance.Always observant to find ways to improve our applications and how we workLearn continuouslyAddress security vulnerabilitiesAssist in the management of your team’s CI/CD pipelinesCommunicate effectivelyThis job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to perform QualificationsBS degree in Computer Sciences, programming or a related discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience3-5 years’ experience with Java, C# or Python3-5 years’ experience with JavaScript/Typescript, React, CSS, SASS or other CSS preprocessor, and HTMLExperience with SQL and relational databasesSolid understanding of GitFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and the necessary steps within a pipelineExpert understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles, Data Structures, and AlgorithmsExperience with Agile processes and workflowExperience (or open to) using Test-Driven Development (TDD)A strong desire to write testable code and work closely with your team to ensure our applications are of the highest qualityFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure and awareness of key differences between cloud native and traditional deploymentsCapable of analyzing issues in existing code and providing root cause analysis as well as remedy optionsEager to learn and evolve with technology changes, including AI assisted software engineering Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, working on a computer for extended periods of time.
