The primary responsibility for this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of Portland and ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the production floor, focusing on safety, high level of quality, and meeting production demands - all while maintaining and encouraging a positive morale. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure high level of training of the Portland team. Hire and oversee career development of the Portland team. Proactively address safety, operational bottlenecks and production needs of the Portland facility. Ensure minimum costs and low scrap rates. Drive a continuous improvement culture. Perform related tasks, including the operation of machinery, as required. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS 2-5 years of facility and team management. Able to lift at least 50 pounds by yourself. Must be familiar with computers and able to enter basic data. Familiarity with high-volume production environments is desired. Forklift experience is not required for this position. Metals experience is helpful but not required - we will train. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail.
