Lead Pre-k 3 Teacher
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in our care. This position requires a strong understanding of early childhood education and a passion for nurturing the growth and development of young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the center's curriculum and educational standards
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Create engaging activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns or achievements
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other necessary documentation
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with various teaching methods and techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
Skills:
- Caregiving experience
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Familiarity with various teaching methods and techniques
- Understanding of childhood development stages
- Experience in preschool or daycare settings is preferred
- Special education background is a plus
