Mechanical Engineering ManagerHouston, TX Direct Hire PositionEPC ExperienceEngineering DegreeThe Mechanical Engineering Manager leads the mechanical engineering discipline, overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of mechanical systems and components for industrial EPC projects.This individual ensures the development of safe, functional, and cost-effective mechanical designs while managing a high-performing team of mechanical engineers and designers.Accountable for resource planning, technical oversight, mentorship, and continuous improvement of mechanical engineering practices across multiple project scopes including process piping, HVAC, rotating equipment, pressure vessels, and thermal systems.The role is both technical and managerial, requiring hands on engagement in project execution, client collaboration, team development, and cross-discipline coordination.The manager ensures that the mechanical discipline contributes efficiently to project outcomes and upholds high standards in safety, quality, and compliance with applicable codes.Responsible for leading the successful execution of assigned engineering and construction projects from proposal through project close-out.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly responsible for: Mechanical EngineersIndirectly responsible for: Project Teams Managers are responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of their team members’ employment, including interviewing, evaluating, and hiring direct reports.
