Job TypePart-timeDescriptionPrimary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:Perform routine janitorial work in varying facilities types, and additional cleaning duties as needed.Be familiar with a variety of the cleaning concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be on time and pleasantLocations: MultipleShift: Morning and EveningResponsibilities:Available for call-ins, flexible schedule, shift coverage day or evening.Must have dependable transportation.Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.Gather and empty trash and transport to collection bins.Clean restroom areas, top to bottom, including men's, women's and unisex restrooms and restock paper and hand soap supplies.Clean café, break rooms or other areas as required.Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to SDS specifications.Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.Clear debris from exterior grounds, and building surroundingsNotify managers concerning the need for repairs, i.e. leaking faucets, running toilets.Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.Various other job duties as asked by supervisor.RequirementsCompetencies/Skills:Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.OrganizationEnergy LevelPersistenceProduct KnowledgeAbility to use efficiently various power and hand toolsPhysical demands:Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to perform repetitive tasks, manual dexterityVision abilities required include close, distance and depth perceptionLifting of 25 poundsAbility to walk long distanceWork varying shifts and locations as neededRequirements:Background CheckWork Days : Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday , Thursday, FridayWork Hours : 6:30pm to 11:00pm = 4:30 hours
