Software Developer (Embedded C) Location: Rockford, ILDuration: ContractWork Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card Holders OnlyJob SummaryWe are seeking a Software Developer with strong Embedded C programming experience to support aerospace software development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in embedded software design, development, testing, and verification while working within regulated industries such as aerospace, aviation, automotive, railway, or medical devices.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze software requirements and develop embedded software solutions in C.Participate in software design, coding, debugging, integration, and testing activities.Develop software in compliance with aerospace standards, including DO-178B/C.Conduct software reviews, unit testing, and verification activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.Manage and trace requirements using IBM DOORS.Support configuration management activities using SVN.Participate in change management and change request processes.Prepare technical documentation and support development lifecycle activities.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).5–10 years of software development experience.Strong Embedded C programming experience.Experience in embedded software development.Experience with requirements analysis, software design, and development.Hands-on experience with DO-178B/C standards, software reviews, and testing.Minimum 1 year of experience using IBM DOORS.Experience with configuration management tools, preferably SVN.Experience working in Aerospace, Aviation, Automotive, Railway, or Medical Device industries.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with MATLAB and related tools.Knowledge of Siemens Polarion.Experience with aircraft electrical systems.Familiarity with change management processes.Additional experience in software verification and validation activities.📩 If you are interested or know someone who would be a great fit, please DM me or share your resume.vighneshwar.gouda@prolim.com
