Role: Associate Director, Medical Writing PUBLICATIONSLocation: RemoteSalary: 160KJob DescriptionEssential Functions: Provide expert writing and editing support to ensure timely production of high-quality documents (abstracts, posters, slide presentations, manuscripts, letters to editor, etc.) for publication in medical/scientific journals or presentation at meetings. (50%)Manage and/or review and interpret data and source documents for information required for publication.Assist in table and figure mock-up development.Actively engage internal and external authors and other key stakeholders in the development of publication plans and strategy at the individual dataset, study, and/or compound level.Skillfully manage projects through publication review system (JPUBS)Provide direction, oversight and editing for outsourced medical writers and project management of selected therapeutic area publications. (50%)QualificationsA PhD, MD, or PharmD with a minimum of 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical/scientific experience is required OR a Master’s (or other advanced degree) with a minimum of 8 years relevant pharmaceutical/scientific experience is requiredResearch experience (including compilation of research reports or publications) in academia or the pharmaceutical industry or as part of a PHD, Pharm.D or postdoctoral program is preferredDemonstrated ability to interpret and organize clinical and scientific data is requiredExperience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is requiredThe ability to work well independently as well as part of a team is requiredProject management experience is preferredThe ability to stay organized, manage time, and work on multiple documents/projects at once is requiredKnowledge in across several therapeutic areas including immunology, neuroscience and/or oncology is preferredBenefitsSystem One offers eligible employees health and welfare benefits coverage options, including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plans, and participation in a 401(k) plan.
