Supervisory IT Specialist
This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineering & Risk Management (JSE), OT Cybersecurity Governance & Technology Strategy (JS), in the OT department of Information Technology (J).This position will serve as the supervisor for the organization and is a member of the OT Services management team with responsibility for planning, supervising, and leading programs and work processes necessary to the technology programs.BASIC REQUIREMENT:Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:ensuring compliance with standards such as FISMA, and NERC CIP to meet organizational cyber security standards;assessing security events, system alerts, and technical advisories to determine impact and implement corrective actions, and identify needs for change based on new security technologies or threats;leading the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize any and all system vulnerabilities, e.g., operational, management or technical controls.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps building critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
