Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a Vascular Testing position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring RVT or RVS certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Job Details• Vascular Testing unit within a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving approximately two-thirds of the state of Maine, • Possible rotation to an affiliated Outpatient Imaging Center as needed, • Both pediatric and adult patient populations, • Schedule varies between 5x8-hour shifts (7:45 AM-4:15 PM or 8:45 AM-5:15 PM) and 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM), with flexibility required across all shift types; 8-hour shifts are more common, • Every 4-6 weeks includes a weekend rotation with in-house Saturday and Sunday shifts (8:00 AM-5:30 PM) and on-call coverage from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM; call-backs are infrequent, • EMR: Cerner, • 40 hours per week, variable shift, Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of sonography/vascular experience required, • RVT or RVS certification required, • Current BLS required, • Experience with both pediatric and adult patient populations required, • Compact or ME license required (license required if applicable), • First-time travelers will not be considered, • Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility and must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity, Additional Information• Supported by a Lead Tech and physician support on the unit, • Scrubs may be any solid, professional color; facility-provided scrubs are available if needed, • Free parking on-site, • Flu vaccination is required for employment clearance; medical exemptions only are accepted and must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance for committee review, • RTO requires manager approval and must be submitted at the time of consideration, • Two professional references within the past year are required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, director, or charge nurse; peer references are not accepted, • Copies of all certifications, a driver's license, and full SSN are required for consideration, • Manager interviews are conducted for this position
