We're looking for an Operations Specialist who wants to continue the micromobility revolution.As the Operations Specialist, you will support the Citi Bike team develop and execute operational plans with a consistent eye towards service quality, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the overall customer experience. You'll roll up your sleeves for some hands-on problem solving, while also tackling big picture projects to improve the Citi Bike system.If you share our vision for active transportation that empowers local communities, reduces our environmental footprint, and brings people together, then we'd love to meet you!Responsibilities:Ensure smooth daily field operations: create/refine playbooks and SOPs, oversee aspects of operating partner relationship management, and travel across New York City to perform regular quality checks in field and depotSupport operating partner's ebike battery charging operation, including managing battery inventory counts, auditing charging processes, and coordinating across teams for equipment troubleshootingOwn end-to-end invoicing processes and asset tracking and management tools for bike deployments and spare parts to support the success of the businessConduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes of operational issues, using insights from field operations and data to collaborate with teams, implement solutions, and drive performance improvementsAssist in managing the Citi Bike service delivery operation - handling special requests for partner events, supporting system rebalancing needs, and gradually growing to understand system health metrics more broadlyCommunicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders, operating partners, and vendors, tackling challenging conversations when necessaryManage shifting priorities effectively, adapting to dynamic needs while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitudeExperience:Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience in a complex, fast-moving operations roleExcellent organizational skills, task management skills, and attention to detail, with an ability to zoom out and understand the bigger context of your workStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven track record of analytical problem-solving, plus proficiency in Excel or Google SheetsWillingness and ability to work from multiple locations across New York City, including warehouses and Citi Bike stations in the fieldKnowledge of New York City geography and neighborhoodsInterest in biking/bikeshare, sustainable transportation, transportation planning, or citiesNice to have:Mechanic skills or experienceExperience in a warehouse or hands-on operations environmentSQL skillsBenefits:Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options with additional programs available when enrolledMental health benefitsFamily building benefitsChild care and pet benefits401(k) plan with company match to help save for your futureIn addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have discretionary paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off18 weeks of paid parental leave. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
