User Interface Engineer

Role: UI Engineer / Interaction Designer Location: Remote ( but candidate must be in Texas )Duration: 12-month contract (potential extension/convert to FTE)Schedule: Mon–Fri, standard hours with some flexibility for global collaborationAbout the RoleWe’re seeking a UI Engineer / Interaction Designer who thrives at the intersection of design and frontend engineering. In this role, you’ll help shape high-quality digital experiences, working closely with design, engineering, and content teams to bring ideas to life—from concept to production.This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about what gets built, not just what gets designed.What You’ll Do:Design and build scalable, high-quality UI experiencesDevelop and maintain design systems and reusable componentsTranslate design concepts into production-ready codeCreate prototypes using Figma and AI design toolsIntegrate content using headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore)Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholdersContribute to data visualization and interactive experiencesParticipate in design reviews and continuous improvementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in UI/UX + frontend developmentStrong skills in Figma and design systemsProficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar)Experience with component-based architectureKnowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)Experience with data visualization (D3.js, Recharts, or similar)Familiarity with headless CMS platformsStrong visual design and interaction skillsAbility to work across teams and communicate effectivelyPreferred QualificationsExperience with AI-powered design tools/workflowsBackground in B2B or data-driven product environmentsExperience with Storybook or design system documentation toolsKnowledge of design tokens and scalable UI systemsExperience in fintech, real estate, or similar industries
