Enterprise Scheduling Manager
The Enterprise Scheduling Manager is a newly created corporate role responsible for the standardization, optimization, and performance of production scheduling across RLG's multi-facility manufacturing network. This individual will serve as the enterprise-wide subject matter expert for scheduling processes and systems, partnering closely with plant schedulers, supply chain, operations, and technology teams to drive consistency, visibility, and continuous improvement across the network.This is a high-impact role for a data-driven operations professional with a strong background in manufacturing scheduling, process standardization, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings both technical depth in scheduling systems and the interpersonal skills to lead change across a distributed organization.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesScheduling Systems & ImplementationLead the implementation and configuration of production scheduling software across new and existing facilities, including system setup, job structure, and integration testing.Drive the migration of scheduling environments to the current platform version across all facilities as part of the network-wide upgrade initiative.Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling software support, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination. Preferred experience with PrintFlow is a plus.Standardization & Best PracticesDevelop and enforce enterprise-wide scheduling standards, workflows, and configurations that align with RLG's operational objectives.Define and document scheduling best practices, ensuring consistency in how jobs are sequenced, released, and tracked across all locations.Partner with plant schedulers through regular 1:1 touchpoints to assess adherence, identify coaching opportunities, and surface facility-level challenges.Performance & AnalyticsDesign and implement KPIs to measure scheduling effectiveness, on-time performance, schedule attainment, and capacity utilization across the network.Identify process gaps, scheduling bottlenecks, and root causes of missed Ship-to-Promise commitments; lead structured improvement initiatives.Connect scheduling data to adjacent systems including ERP, production reporting, and supply chain planning tools to enable end-to-end visibility.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with supply chain, customer service, estimating, and prepress teams to ensure scheduling inputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to customer commitments.Collaborate with IT and business systems teams to support integrations between scheduling platforms and other enterprise tools.Present performance insights and improvement recommendations to operations leadership on a regular cadence.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILLHave a passion for operational excellence and a track record of driving measurable process improvements in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.Be a confident communicator who can work effectively across plant-level schedulers and senior operations leaders.Thrive in a multi-site, distributed organization where influence matters as much as authority.Bring a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to independently prioritize and execute in a fast-moving environment.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.10+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or operations within a manufacturing facility environment.Proven ability to develop and implement standardized processes across multiple facilities or business units.Experience defining and tracking operational KPIs tied to scheduling, capacity, or on-time delivery performance.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; ability to build and interpret operational reports.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to both plant teams and executive leadership.PreferredExperience in label printing, packaging, or converting manufacturing.Hands-on experience with PrintFlow scheduling software or comparable production scheduling platforms (e.g., batched.io, Optio, Tharstern, EFI Pace, or similar MIS/ERP-integrated scheduling tools).Familiarity with ERP systems and data integration concepts (e.g., API connections, data feeds between scheduling and enterprise systems).Lean, Six Sigma, APICS CPIM, or similar process improvement certification.Experience supporting or managing system implementations or platform migrations across distributed facilities.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis role is primarily office-based or remote, with regular travel to manufacturing facilities as required to support scheduling implementations, audits, and on-site coaching.
