Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This contract position offers an opportunity to provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe needs during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The role requires skilled educators certified in Special Education, ready to engage with diverse learners in a supportive and structured environment. ESY sessions run from late June through the end of July 2026, with scheduled orientation and preparation days preceding the instructional period.Key Responsibilities:Deliver tailored special education instruction to students with moderate to severe needs.Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Manage classroom environments fostering positive behavior and active learning.Participate in orientation and planning sessions to prepare curriculum and materials.Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.Qualifications and Requirements:Valid Pennsylvania Special Education certification, or Emergency Permit with active enrollment in a certification program.Experience working with students exhibiting moderate to severe disabilities and behavioral challenges.Reliable transportation and residence within 35 minutes of assigned school to ensure punctual attendance.Commitment to the full ESY schedule: orientation June 2325, 2026; instruction June 29July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday.Ability to provide proof of active licensure and a supervisory reference from a Special Education role.Completion of screening questions regarding licensure timeline, work availability, and commute plans.Work Locations:Multiple school sites across Bucks County, including Levittown and Quakertown, PA.
