SUMMARY Under direct supervision of the assigned manager, this position will be responsible for, but not limited to, completing daily tasks on various systems and providing support for internal users, including night operating staff. This position requires employees to work on-site. QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE | SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or GED required. High proficiency in Excel, Word, and Office required. 2 years’ general banking experience or similar experience preferred. Previous data processing experience preferred. Proven work experience demonstrating strong multi-tasking, organizational, customer service, and adaptability skills. HOURS OF AVAILABILITY: Regularly Scheduled Hours/Week: 40 (+) Hours | Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm | Occasional 7:00am - 4:00pm | Extended workings hours may be required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to strict privacy regarding customer account information. Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential. Provide exceptional customer service and execute operational excellence. In person: Greet every customer with a smile, maintain eye contact, call them by name, stay connected in conversation and let them know they are appreciated. When on the telephone: Speak with a smile, call them by name, stay connected in the conversation and let them know they are appreciated. Ability to articulate effectively by answering questions in person or on the telephone. Refer customers to other bank services as necessary. Ability to logically comprehend and execute detailed written or oral instructions as well as ability to read, interpret and comprehend short correspondence and memos. Ability to clearly and professionally present information and respond to questions from employees, coworkers, and potential customers. Verify various system processes. Monitor system reports. Send and receive files via AS400 and other systems. Balance internal general ledger and checking accounts. Maintain and monitor systems such as, but not limited to AS400, iTera, VTL, and Bankway. Create and manage tickets with third party venders. Assist in covering various department desks as assigned. Operate computer, telephone, keyboard, scanner, and copier. Basic computer skills including knowledge of Outlook, typing, 10-key and the internet. High proficiency in Excel, Word, and Office is required and proficiency in Bankway will be required. Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site and work cooperatively with other coworkers. Must be able to prioritize projects and exhibit strong problem-solving skills. Self-directed, use initiative to identify needs and conceptualize how to meet those needs. Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and timely. Intermediate mathematical aptitude and ability to use mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and percentages) is required. Complete all online compliance Teal Training courses in a timely manner. Management will determine when employees attend trainings. Work location and/or additional duties may be assigned or required by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee must possess sufficient mobility to work in and move about in a standard office setting and sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Substantial time may be spent on the telephone and working on a computer, sitting and/or standing. The employee must have the ability to hear and articulate well enough to carry on a normal conversation, both in person and over the telephone. Visual abilities required by this job include the ability to read materials in either a printed format or on a computer screen. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.
