Your culinary expertise and leadership will contribute to creating a dining experience that our residents look forward to every day.Key Responsibilities:1. Culinary Team Leadership:Supervise and lead the culinary team, including cooks, kitchen staff, and dietary aides.Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team works cohesively and efficiently.2. Menu Planning and Execution:Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and prepare a diverse, nutritious, and appealing menu.Ensure the timely and consistent execution of menu items to meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.3. Food Quality and Safety:Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation, making adjustments as needed to maintain high culinary standards.Enforce safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment.4. Resident-Centered Approach:Interact with residents to understand their dietary preferences, special dietary needs, and food-related concerns.Accommodate residents' dietary requirements and provide exceptional dining experiences.5. Inventory Management:Manage inventory, track food supplies, and place orders to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling food costs.6. Compliance with Regulations:Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, and dietary requirements for seniors.7. Problem Resolution:Address any issues that arise in the kitchen, such as menu modifications, equipment malfunctions, and specific dietary concerns of residents.8. Budget Management:Assist in budget planning and management, including cost control and resource allocation for culinary projects and supplies.Qualifications:Proven experience as a chef, culinary manager, or in a related culinary leadership role.Culinary training or a relevant degree in culinary arts is a plus.Knowledge of kitchen equipment, safety, and sanitation practices, especially as they relate to senior care.Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and lead a culinary team.Attention to detail and a passion for delivering nutritious, delicious, and well-balanced meals.Horizon/Oxford Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
