Laboratory Technician – Phlebotomist
ResponsibilitiesThe Laboratory Technician will be responsible to perform various clinical laboratory procedures following set guidelines and ensure that all quality control checks and standards are run as required.The Laboratory Technician will collect blood and specimen as required, following Ministry of Health guidelines, and be responsible to conduct other health tests such as ECG and blood pressure.Practice medical asepsis and infection control at all times. All company and government regulations are to be followed.Routine disinfection of work area and equipment cleaning and sterilization to be done as required.QualificationsGraduate of an approved Laboratory Technologist program or equivalent experience.Minimum of one (1) year of recent and related experience in phlebotomy, ECG, Holter monitoring, data entry, and sample sorting is preferred.Proficient in the use of computers and common software applications.Proficiency in both French and English is a strong asset.Valid Ontario driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.A criminal record check will be required prior to hiring.Work ConditionsSalary range: $24.24 – $29.21 per hourApply Now!Use the following form to apply for this position online.
