Carpenter

Full Job Description Maracon Enterprises, Inc is looking for a qualified Carpenter to fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood and metal framing, and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of buildings and products. Responsibilities: Constructs walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, drywall, and composites of multiple materials. Fits and installs millwork, window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim. Read specifications in blueprints/plans to prepare project layout, determine dimensions and materials required, and complete project. Shape and/or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws. Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. Follow all instructions given by the lead carpenter, job superintendent, and/or project manager Reports any problems/discrepancies at the job site, including issues with plans, materials, and tools to management immediately. Demonstrates ability to problem solve and adapt to situations while at the job site. Demonstrates understanding of how to work with tools. Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures Cleans up worksite debris. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED 3+ years carpentry experience in commercial/residential construction a plus; Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and critical thinking skills; Proper knowledge and use of construction power tools; Ability to work independently with little supervision; Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to each job.
