Parts Counter Associate

Established in 2006, Dieseltronics is a family-operated business in Long Beach specializing in the diagnostics, rebuilds, and service of diesel fuel injectors, pumps, and turbochargers. As an authorized Alliant Power dealer, we take pride in delivering precision, performance, and exceptional customer service to fleets, repair shops, and independent operators. Position Summary We are looking for a dependable and personable Parts & Service Counter Representative to join our growing team. This full-time role blends front counter support with customer service and inside sales. You’ll be responsible for assisting customers in person, by phone, and by email—helping them find the right parts, reporting diagnostic results, and ensuring a smooth, professional experience throughout. This position also involves occasional driving of a company vehicle to deliver or pick up parts, and supporting the production team as needed. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required due to the needs of our customer base. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers in person, by phone, and via email Communicate diagnostic test results clearly and professionally · Inspect and identify diesel parts brought in by customers; confirm whether they require testing or rebuilding · Accurately identify and locate parts using the internal inventory system · Process vendor orders, generate customer invoices, handle payments, returns, and warranty claims · Respond to product and service inquiries Maintain detailed and organized customer records Follow up with past customers to encourage repeat business Assist with inventory management and stock maintenance Occasionally deliver or pick up parts using a company vehicle Support production team as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Prior experience with automotive or diesel parts is required Customer service and inside sales experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient with basic computer tools; experience with Odoo, Excel, and Word is a plus Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping Fluent in English and Spanish is required Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record Reliable, team-oriented, and customer-focused Able to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
