This dual-role leadership position is ideal for someone with experience in trucking, construction, or ready-mix operations, who is passionate about employee development, DOT compliance, OSHA safety standards, and operational excellence.This is more than a training job—it’s a high-impact leadership role where you will oversee driver onboarding, safety compliance, risk management, and training program effectiveness across the region.Your Mission & Key Responsibilities CDL Training & Driver Development Lead CDL driver training programs, onboarding, and orientation for Ready Mix Drivers and OperatorsRecruit, interview, and hire qualified CDL drivers and equipment operatorsDeliver hands-on training focused on safe driving practices, equipment operation, and DOT complianceCoach and mentor drivers to improve performance, retention, and long-term career growthSupport and manage plant-level trainers to ensure consistent training standards Safety Management & Compliance (DOT / OSHA) Lead regional safety programs in compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and company policiesConduct safety audits, job site inspections, and risk assessments across multiple locationsInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective action plansDeliver safety training, toolbox talks, and compliance programs for drivers and plant teamsMonitor and report on safety KPIs, incident rates, and regulatory compliance metricsEnsure adherence to FMCSA regulations, driver qualification standards, and fleet safety policies Leadership, Culture & Workforce Development Promote SRM’s 5 Principles: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter mindsetBuild a safety-first culture while driving employee engagement and accountabilityPartner with HR and operations leaders on talent development, retention, and performance improvementTravel regionally to support training, safety compliance, and team development initiativesWhat Sets You ApartExperience in CDL training, safety management, fleet safety, or transportation leadershipStrong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulationsBackground in trucking, construction, logistics, or ready-mix concrete operations preferredProven ability to lead driver training programs and safety initiativesCDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferredExperience with incident investigation, safety audits, and compliance reportingStrong leadership, communication, and coaching skillsAbility to manage multi-site operations and regional travelProficiency with training systems, safety software, and applicant tracking systemsAbout SRMSRM Concrete is a family-owned, industry-leading construction materials company operating across 20+ states.
