Travel CVOR Registered Nurse | Lakewood, Ohio

Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Provide advanced perioperative nursing care in a cardiovascular operating room setting, specializing in heart and lung transplant procedures. This critical role requires in-depth knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical protocols and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.Responsibilities:Deliver expert nursing care during heart and lung transplant surgeries, maintaining sterile techniques and adhering to CVOR regulations.Assist in preparation for cardiac surgeries, including equipment setup and patient assessment.Scrub in during procedures as needed, supporting the surgical team efficiently.Respond promptly to call duties, providing on-demand critical care support.Monitor patient status intraoperatively and communicate any changes to the surgical team.Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of surgical nursing activities.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance cardiac surgical outcomes.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.Proven experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing.Specialized knowledge of heart and lung transplant procedures.Ability to scrub in during surgeries is highly desired.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Willingness to take call as part of the responsibilities.Current BLS/ACLS certifications.Flexibility for travel assignments.Location: Lakewood, OHLocated near the vibrant city of Cleveland, Lakewood offers an affordable suburban lifestyle with easy access to urban amenities.
