Coding and/or Robotics Coach in HINGHAM-MA

About Us At Code Wiz, our students develop programming skills along with invaluable approaches to critical thinking and problem solving. We believe anyone can learn to code – no matter their age, tech proficiency or personal interests. This is an entry-level, part-time, and in-person position at our BRAINTREE (MA) location. Job Description Our coaches are expected to have a passion for coding and/or robotics and working with children, with the ability to multitask. Coaches will be trained and offered flexibility with their schedules and classes they decide to take on. We are currently looking for coaches for Gaming/Foundational coding and FLL robotics program, but other positions are also available: - Gaming Coding Coach - Foundational Coding Coach - Robotics coach Coaches will work directly with our students at Code Wiz. Robotics Coaches should specifically be experienced in robotics, and or competitive robotics (ie First Lego League). Job Responsibilities - Use the curriculum to teach and lead children in their lessons and projects - Run trial classes - Come up with creative ideas that students can implement in their projects - Record and report students’ progress - Maintain a high quality of team performance and job satisfaction - Train new coaches Preferred Skills - Experience working with kids in a camp, tutoring, child care, or after school program - Interest and background in one of the following fields: Minecraft, Roblox, Drag and Drop Scratch, Python, Robotics, First Lego League, etc. - Friendly, but professional attitude, and the ability to work independently - No degree or resume required Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 3 – 10 per week Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Schedule: After school Weekends as needed Application Question(s): We offer classes that use Scratch, MCreator, Roblox Studio, Python, Java, etc. What programming languages and programs are you familiar with? Will you be able to reliably commute to 685 Main St, Hingham? Can you commit to coaching our after-school classes and/or Saturday classes? Code Wiz Hingham is currently open on Wednesdays after school, and Saturday mornings to afternoon, with more days/hours to be added in the future. Are you available during these times?
