Senior Manager, Program Management

The OpportunityThe Senior Manager, Program Management partners with Global and Regional Medical Affairs leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to enable timely, high-quality execution of medical strategy. This role leads end-to-end medical program management for the assigned portfolio, including annual planning, budget and resource coordination, governance, and delivery of key medical affairs outputs (insight and evidence generation plans, publication planning, and medical strategy documents), ensuring the coordination of alignment across global, regions, and key functions.The RoleLead the Medical Affairs Strategy Team (MAST) operating model for the assigned disease area(s) including team charter, membership, governance, standing agenda, decision capture, and action trackingOwn the annual medical planning process, coordinating inputs and ensuring on-time completion of strategy, tactical plans, evidence generation plans, insight plans, and publication plansLead the implementation and continuous improvement of global templates and business processes (annual plans, playbooks, budget worksheets, trackers, and dashboards)Develop and maintain the integrated business process calendar to ensure key deliverables (evidence/insight milestones, congress planning, scientific communications, and core medical documents) are delivered on time with appropriate reviews and approvalsDrive cross-functional alignment and execution across Medical Affairs functions (e.g., disease area, regional medical, medical communications, HEOR/RWE, PV/safety as applicable) and key partners (Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, Clinical Development) while ensuring compliance with relevant SOPs and governanceLead budget planning, tracking, and forecasting for medical affairs activities in partnership with Finance and Medical leadershipProactively identify, escalate and manage potential execution risks and interdependencies.Facilitate scenario planning for mitigation strategies across book of workEstablish and monitor program-level metrics and dashboards (e.g., milestone delivery, budget, scientific communications execution) and provide concise, actionable readoutsProvide Project Management support to key enterprise-wide initiatives and thus ensuring seamless integration of key functions such as Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs and R&DCoach and mentor program management colleagues and contribute to capability building, standardization, and best-practice sharing across Medical Program ManagementBe an ambassador for change initiatives, key communication messages and other initiatives critical for the success of Medical AffairsSkills & ExperienceBachelor's degree required8+ years’ relevant experience in medical affairs operations/program management, cross-functional business operations, or related pharmaceutical/biotech experience relevant CSL disease area experience desirableDemonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrix environment, including governance, senior stakeholder management, and influencing without authorityStrong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and execution focus with the ability to translate strategy into integrated plans, milestones, and measurable outcomesProficiency with project/program management tools (e.g., Smartsheet), timeline development (e.g., Gantt charts), and budget management; able to develop fit-forpurpose dashboards and reportingDifferent qualifications or responsibilities may apply based on local legal and/or educational requirements.
