Every product decision we make is designed to elevate the next generation through sports.We are a remote-first, dynamic technology company based in New York City solving meaningful challenges across youth sports — and this summer, we're bringing together a highly intentional cohort of interns to help build what's next.About The Internship ProgramOur Summer 2026 Internship Program is a 10-week, fully onsite experience in NYC (June 1–August 7, 2026). This is not a shadowing program. As a GameChanger intern, you'll:Work on real, high-impact projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teamsBe paired with a dedicated mentorBuild and ship meaningful workPresent your results during our Final Demo DayWe've intentionally designed a smaller cohort (12 interns) to provide strong mentorship, meaningful ownership, and real exposure to how we build and ship at scale.The PositionYou'll work on GameChanger's Core Services team to design, write, test and release code for your high-impact project. As part of the platform group, you will build the foundation of our system with some of the most experienced engineers within our organization. During your time here, you will learn about the technologies that drive our business and collaborate with other engineers while building new features which will help us to elevate the next generation through sports. We build our backend APIs with TypeScript, Node.js, Redis, and PostgreSQL and run them in AWS. You will report to a Software Engineer on the Core Services team.What You'll Work OnYou'll take ownership of clearly scoped, high-impact work. This summer, you will:Work on a designated summer project that touches the frontend and backend with clear ownershipScope and execute on defined work with support from the teamLearn how to contribute to a CI-driven, scaled engineering organizationParticipate in code reviews and technical discussions to increase your technical best practices and skillsLearn how engineering teams coordinate, ship, and maintain software in a scaled environmentYou'll collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders, receive consistent feedback, and contribute work that drives measurable impact.What We're Looking ForCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) OR recently completed a software engineering bootcamp1+ years of experience with JavaScript1+ years of experience with git / version controlExperience writing clean, organized codeExperience presenting your technical work through presentations, written updates, and documentationDemonstrated experience collaborating with others on a shared codebaseCurious, proactive, and excited about building softwareComfortable receiving feedback and putting it into actionEnthusiastic about using technology to enhance people's livesWhat You'll Gain10 weeks of hands-on experience on a product used by millions.$55 per hour pay for your contributions.Housing in Manhattan covered by GameChanger.Round-trip travel to/from NYC covered.A MacBook for the duration of the internship.Mentorship from experienced leaders.Exposure to executive leadership.The opportunity to be considered for future full-time roles.Join UsThis summer, you won't just observe — you'll build, ship, collaborate, and present work that matters.
