Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and a strategic partner to the CEO and Board in guiding the organization’s continued growth and long‑term value creation. What You Will Own Strategic & Financial Leadership Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, including long‑term planning, capital allocation, and growth initiatives Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team on financial performance, risk management, and investment decisions Partner with executive leadership to align financial planning with business strategy, including evaluating future‑state scenarios (e.g., scaling the organization over a multi‑year horizon through initiatives such as organic growth, potential M&A, growth financing) Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning to support informed decision‑making Oversee capital expenditure planning, equipment financing, and liquidity management to support operational and strategic objectives Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions in which the company operates Operational Finance and Business Partnership Partner closely with operations, estimating, and project management teams to drive financial performance at the project level Lead the implementation and optimization of ERP, focusing on system integration, automation, and dashboards Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance financial operations Maintain and strengthen relationships with sureties, brokers, and insurance providers, ensuring adequate bonding capacity to support growth Proactively identify financial, contractual, and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies Support executive decision‑making by providing clear financial analysis that enables the organization to pursue growth opportunities with discipline and confidence Leadership and Organizational Development Lead, develop, and mentor an established finance and accounting organization structured to support multiple regions and cost centers Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance function and across the broader organization Serve as a visible and influential leader within the executive team, contributing to company culture and organizational alignment Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and performance management Promote alignment between finance and other functional areas to support enterprise‑wide objectives Risk Management and Governance Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with all applicable financial regulations Oversee audit processes and maintain relationships with external auditors Manage enterprise risk as it relates to financial performance, contracts, and operational execution Support executive leadership and the Board in governance practices and decision‑making frameworks Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred 10 to 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with significant experience in construction or project‑based industries Demonstrated expertise in construction accounting, including job cost management and WIP reporting Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to executive leadership, contributing to enterprise‑level decision‑making Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams and building effective cross‑functional partnerships Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities, with the ability to operate effectively in complex, fast‑paced environments Experience with ERP and project accounting systems such as Spectrum, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar platforms Willingness to travel as required Key Performance Indicators Accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial reporting and forecasting Performance of project margins and job cost management across the portfolio Effectiveness of cash flow management and forecasting Progress in system implementation, process improvement, and operational efficiency Strength of executive‑level decision support and contribution to strategic outcomes Development and performance of the finance organization and its integration with operations Employee Referral Program We value referrals from our employees!
