Technique, Inc. is looking for a Material Planner to join our team at our Jackson, Michigan facility. This role provides an outstanding level of customer service to internal and external customers by responding to inquiries and processing orders in an accurate, timely, efficient, and professional manner. The planner ensures that every customer interaction reinforces that Technique is easy to do business with.The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of material planning experience in a business-to-business or manufacturing environment. Strong computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word are essential, along with the ability to read blueprints, understand material grades, and work effectively on cross-functional teams. Experience with ERP systems such as E2 is a plus.Responsibilities:Audit and enter customer orders – Audit customer purchase orders (POs) and accurately enter them in E2 as ordersManage PO holds – Maintain all PO HOLD jobs until they are clearedDistribute routers – Distribute routers to appropriate departmentsDistribute acknowledgements – Distribute acknowledgements accordinglyTransfer special notes – Ensure any special notes are transferred to the orderProcess CSM purchase orders – Process CSM POs in E2Maintain duplicate order entry check report – Maintain the duplicate order entry check report to ensure accuracyRead blueprints and specifications – Read blueprints and understand specifications to support accurate order processingPrepare and run APQP meetings – Prepare and run APQP meetings to support new product launchesProcess inventory adjustments – Process inventory adjustments in E2Adjust part masters – Adjust part masters in E2 as neededMaintain blanket POs – Maintain all blanket POs (Katcon, Tenneco Seward, and CNH)Maintain production part tracker – Maintain the production part trackerConfirm inventory and finished goods – Confirm all inventory during job material processing and confirm all posted finished goodsCommunicate special situations – Ensure special situations are properly communicated to ensure success of ordersSeek continuous improvements – Seek continuous improvements in order entry processes and workflowsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of material planning experience in a business-to-business or manufacturing environmentBasic to advanced computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and WordKnowledge of material gradesAbility to read blueprints and understand specificationsAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple tasksProblem solving skillsAbility to work effectively on cross-functional teamsComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, industrial equipment, vibration, and loud noiseNo travel required for this positionMust be eligible to work in the United StatesPosition Type and Expected Hours:This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime as needed. Note: days and hours required may vary.
