Smorgasburg is seeking NYC-based freelance content creators to help capture the energy, culture, and community of our markets across Smorgasburg, Brooklyn Flea, Chelsea Flea, BQ Flea and Six Coasts. This role is perfect for creators who thrive in live environments, have a strong visual eye, and can move quickly while producing thoughtful, high-quality content.ResponsibilitiesCapture photo and video content at Smorgasburg and Flea Markets on select weekend datesFilm vendors, food, fashion, crowd moments, and on-site experiences for social and digital useFollow the provided shot lists while staying adaptable to spontaneous, in-the-moment momentsUpload and organize media according to established workflows and deadlinesCollaborate with the Smorgasburg marketing team while working independently on-siteQualificationsProven experience creating content for social or digital platformsPreference for candidates with editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.) and a photography backgroundMust have access to:iPhone 13 or newer, orDigital filming equipment (DSLR, mirrorless camera, Osmo, etc.)Strong editorial judgment, brand sensitivity, and attention to detailCharismatic, adaptable personality with a passion for food, fashion, and local cultureExcellent time management and ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, live environmentsClear communicator who respects the people, space, and community being documentedNYC-based and able to travel to Brooklyn and Manhattan locationsCommitmentMinimum commitment of two (2) two-hour shoots per monthAdditional opportunities may be available based on performance and availabilityCompensationStarting at $25/hrTo ApplyPlease submit:Your resumeA digital portfolio (photo, video, or social work) or past work referencesIf you have a strong visual voice, love capturing real moments, and want to help tell the story of one of NYC’s most iconic markets, we’d love to hear from you.Start Date May 2026
