Vice President of Sales Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to provide strategic sales leadership to define revenue growth strategies, expand market share and oversee all sales operations company-wide. In this role, the individual will be responsible for building and maintaining high-level client relationships with key decision-makers and aligning the sales and marketing resources to educate the market on the technical and business benefits of our fiber build construction solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated leader with a deep strategic understanding of the fiber optic infrastructure market and a proven track record in sales leadership. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans that align with the company's overall business objectives. Business Development and Market Expansion: Identify and target potential new markets and clients for our fiber build construction solutions. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key new and existing clients and strategic partners to ensure high levels of customer and prospect satisfaction. Sales Operations and Forecasting: Oversee the entire sales pipeline and operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and providing accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to executive leadership. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the C-level executives in the human resources, marketing, finance, and operations departments to ensure seamless go-to-market strategies that drive the company’s goals and objectives. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. Experience: Proven track record in outside sales, business development, preferably within the telecommunications or fiber optics construction industry Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of fiber optic technology, outside plant infrastructure (e.g., underground/aerial) and networking and related products Key Skills and Competencies Leadership and Team Management: Ability to inspire, mentor and build high performing sales function with the company Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills: Capable of translating complex market data and trends into actionable sales strategies Communication and Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in making executive-level presentations and participating in contract negotiations Technical and Digital Proficiency: Expert proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive), Microsoft Office and Apple hardware (e.g., Macs, iPad and iPhone) Business Acumen: Strong financial acumen, including revenue modeling Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies based on evolving market conditions and customer needs Additional Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel frequently as needed Valid driver's license
