If you’re energized by innovation and excited to lead in an environment centered on the future of AI, robotics, and next-generation technology, this is your opportunity to grow your career at the intersection of retail and innovation.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Consistently achieve store sales and profit objectives, including management of payroll expensesDevelop and implement plans to increase profitability and reduce expenses based on P&L resultsIdentify, effectively communicate and resolve store issues, informing appropriate District and Home Office personnel as neededExecute and participate in floor and front-end leadership activities, including store open and close procedures Manage all freight flow and processing as well as appropriate tracking of company assets through inventory controlEnsure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standardsDirect, monitor and manage staffing and training to ensure competent associates are hired, trained and scheduled to properly service our customersTrain, develop and coach all store personnel -- from Senior Managers to front line associates -- in the areas of standard operating procedures, customer satisfaction and solution sellingEnsure human resource issues are handled in accordance with guidelines; partner with Regional HR Manager and Home Office HR when neededPerform other duties and tasks as assigned EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:7+ years of leadership experience with a major big box retailer in a high-volume, 30,000+ square-foot store, with at least 100 employees and accountability for profit and loss, within the consumer electronics industry preferredPrevious experience managing your own store with experience in all aspects of retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and customer serviceExperience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified employees and managersAbility to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competitionPhysical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of timeShifts include hours before and after the store is open to the public and may also include mornings, nights, weekends and holidaysA college degree is strongly preferredMICRO CENTER OFFERS EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS:Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits Coverage for Regular Full-Time Associates401K Plan with Company MatchEmployee Discount that includes a Friends & Family Discount ProgramTuition Reimbursement & Education DiscountsPaid Time Off for Regular AssociatesEsteemed Vendor & Company Job TrainingCareer Advancement OpportunitiesWhy Micro CenterOur core promise is to take care of our associates and our customers.
