CNC Programmer and Operator
*Job Description*
The *CNC Operator* oversees the programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC tools to ensure the production of high-quality, precision parts for various industries. *Experience in a scenic fabrication shop or woodshop environment a plus.*
*Requirements and Responsibilities:*
* 3 Years Experience with 3-Axis routers, Flatbed Knife Cutter, and C02 Laser Cutter.
* Experience with other CNC tools like 7-Axis Robot Arms, 5-Axis Routers, Panel Saws, Lathes, Mills, Benders, Plasma Cutters, Hot Wire Foam Cutters, and 3D printers.
* 3 Years Experience with CAD/CAM software *VCarve,* (e.g., MasterCAM, PowerMill, EnRoute, PreForm, Omax, Coreo, Fusion 360).
* General computer skills; collaborative cloud and project management software experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of engineered sheet goods, hardwoods, plastics, metals, and composite materials.
* Proficiency in shop math, machining, tooling, troubleshooting, and machine maintenance.
* Positive attitude, detail-oriented, self-directed, and eager to learn.
* Strong communication, organization, time-management, and supervisory skills.
* Plan production processes, select materials and tools, and sequence production steps.
* Improve cycle times and part quality.
* Supervise machining operations, monitor production, verify settings, and inspect parts for quality.
* Maintain safe and clean operations, handle equipment repairs, and ensure all parts are cleaned, deburred, and ready for fabrication.
* Track and report project status using project management software.
* Coordinate inventory requirements and anticipate needs.
* Foster a positive and solution-oriented work environment.
* Stay current on machining technology and develop training resources.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
