This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to all consumer protection, fair lending, and regulatory compliance standards. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive compliance programs, managing regulatory relationships, and mitigating consumer compliance risks. Strategic leadership is essential in this position, as is the ability to foster a culture of ethical banking practices and to provide guidance on consumer compliance matters to senior management and board committees.Candidates for this role at The Company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree or JD preferred, and at least 12 years of experience in consumer compliance, fair lending, or financial services risk management. A minimum of 7 years in senior management or executive leadership within the banking or financial services sector is also required. The role demands extensive knowledge of federal consumer protection regulations and fair lending requirements, as well as a proven track record in managing regulatory examinations and enforcement actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and experience in regulatory change management and policy implementation.
