Journeyman Millwright / Industrial MechanicLocation: Oregon and PNW (Multiple Project Locations)Experience Level: Mid-LevelCompany: Greenberry IndustrialWage: $26–$38/hour (DOE) + Per DiemPlease note, we have work going all over the state, ability to travel is a requirement.Position SummaryGreenberry Industrial is seeking experienced Journeyman Millwrights / Industrial Mechanics to support ongoing plant maintenance, shutdowns, and industrial construction projects across multiple locations in the PNW. This is a regional opportunity with the potential for long-term or full-time employment based on performance and project needs.The ideal candidate is a safety-focused trades professional with strong mechanical aptitude and experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment in plant environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical systemsPerform precision alignment of machinery using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and measuring instruments (micrometers, levels, squares, plumb bobs)Install, maintain, and repair conveyor systems, belts, scales, sheaves, and drive componentsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawingsPerform welding tasks, including certified structural SMAW (Stick) welding to AWS codeMove, position, and set equipment using cranes, dollies, rollers, and rigging gearSecure machinery components using bolts, welds, rivets, or adhesivesLayout mounting holes, drill, and prepare equipment foundations and mounting surfacesConstruct or modify machinery foundations using cement, steel, and hand toolsShrink-fit parts using portable heating equipment (bushings, sleeves, rings, etc.)Follow all safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, confined space, and permit proceduresPerform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliabilitySupport equipment installation, commissioning, and decommissioning effortsPreferred Qualifications4+ years of journeyman-level millwright or industrial mechanic experienceCurrent or previous AWS structural welding certificationExperience working in industrial plant or heavy manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and state-specific safety regulationsProficiency with rotating equipment alignment (dial indicator and/or laser alignment)Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, safety-driven environmentComprehensive Benefits PackageHealth & Welfare (Shared Cost)Medical, Vision, Dental, and Prescription CoverageLife InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityAccident and Critical Care PlansFlexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care)Retirement401(k) with company match after one year Additional BenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO)Confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Safety & Wellness Rewards ProgramWhy Choose Greenberry?Greenberry offers a stable, safety-first work environment where skilled trades professionals can grow and succeed.
