Fresh Alliance Specialist
DescriptionThis position is mainly responsible for the pick-up and receipting of designated donations through the Fresh Alliance Program. The Fresh Alliance Specialist also assists with daily warehouse functions of accepting, storing, and delivering product. If you are dedicated, hardworking and have a passion for helping others, ACCESS is the place for you!Position Duties & ResponsibilitiesAccurately count, track, weigh, and document all incoming/outgoing inventory and donations within the warehouse and the Fresh Alliance Program.Update warehouse inventory management system as needed to note product issuance and receipt.Update product temperature logs and other documents as needed to ensure compliance with applicable organization, local, state, and federal requirements.Follow all food safety guidelines for transporting time/temperature controlled for safety (TCS) foods.Pick up donated and purchased products. Promoting and maintaining friendly, positive, and courteous relationships with donors, store managers, volunteers, vendors, and the general public.Assemble and stage food orders for pantry pick up or delivery.Assist pantries and agencies in loading, delivery, and unloading of orders, utilizing the pallet jack and forklift as necessary.Consistently maintain the ACCESS vehicles used through routine vehicle inspections and interior/exterior cleaning to ensure vehicle and food safety standards are met.Assist in ACCESS warehouse with daily functions as needed including assisting with the Rogue Powerpack program operations.Observe Oregon Food Bank and Health Department Regulations on Food Safety, including extra precautions around time/temperature controlled for safety (TCS) foods and general warehouse practices.Any other duties as assigned.Position RequirementsBelief in ACCESS’ mission to help people help themselves.Proven ability in building, growing, and maintaining in-person customer service relationships, backed by at least six months of experience.Certification in forklift operation or ability to obtain certification within 2 monthsProficiency in operating manual and electric pallet jacksProficiency in operating box trucks including the use of lift gates on box trucks.Ability to obtain ServSafe food safety certification within 1 month of hire.Ability to lift 35 pounds consistently.Demonstrated attention to detail.Proficiency in basic computer skills including operating a handheld tablet or laptop, using online forms, and data entry.Demonstrated skills in basic math and writing and strong overall communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting. with customers and co-workers.Ability to sustain client and intradepartmental confidentiality.Experience working for non-profits or food banks preferred but not required.Must be able to multitask in a variety of areas.A valid Oregon driver’s license with a record that is acceptable under ACCESS’ insurance policies.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement“ACCESS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
