In this role, you will assist in designing projects across various markets, including Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Water/Wastewater. This individual will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical tasks and working with Engineers, Technical Leaders, and Designers.At Verdantas, we're not just looking toward the future; we're creating it, together. Named the #1 firm to work for in 2025 by Zweig Group, we offer a culture rooted in empathy, creativity, and life balance.What You'll DoLead the design process for complex projects such as: Design branch circuit layout, panel scheduling, grounding plans, electrical area classification plans, and power distribution design Design and layout engineering drawings, performing drafting and design as needed. Lead and mentor design teams while reviewing and ensuring the quality of engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, and related deliverables to ensure high-quality workEnsure all design work complies with industry standards, project guidelines, NEC, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with clients, vendors, and suppliers to understand their needs, objectives, and vision for the designConduct site visits and inspections to document existing conditions and ensure design integrity and quality (travel estimated 10%)Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resourcesStay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologiesProvide technical expertise and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycleWhat You'll BringAn Associate or Engineering Degree7+ years of relevant design experienceProficiency in designing in AutoCAD (Revit or Plant 3D experience is a plus)Experience with ETAP and/or SKM Power Analysis Software is a plusExperience with voltage drop calculations and appropriate cable sizing for electrical systemsProficiency in NEC codes design standardsAbility to work independently on projectsAbility to specify portions of the engineering systems based on past experienceSalary RangeAt Verdantas, we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees. Actual salary is based on the circumstances of each position and candidate, such as geographic location, skills, and certifications. We recognize and reward exceptional performance and strive to ensure fair compensation across all roles and departments within the company.
