Process Engineer

A Process Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture complex sheet metal fabrications and complex machined assemblies for the aerospace and land-based industries. Please note that we are seeking a senior team member with at least 7 years of aerospace engineering experience.Essential Job FunctionsPerform the following duties as required:Develop written processes in accordance with customer-supplied drawings to produce end product that meets blueprint and quality requirementsWork with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to identify needs for process improvements and provide engineering solutions to identified problemsResponsible for product life cycle from PO receipt until the shipment of end product. This includes bill of material creation, tooling development, creating and maintaining shop routings and operation sheets, providing shop technical support through the development and production cycle while maintaining quality requirements. When necessary, provide interim maintenance to already developed productAbility to communicate with both internal and external customers, relaying technical information and providing program management supportFollow quality system procedures as requiredRequirementsFour-year engineering degree or equivalentSeven years minimum of relevant aerospace engineering experience is required. Tool design experience would be beneficial, but is not requiredThe ideal candidate must have a strong background in blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretationMust possess either 3D (Siemens NX) or AutoCAD experienceMust possess knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Skills & KnowledgeStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and work under tight deadlinesStrong organization, teamwork, project management, and communication abilitiesWorks well individually or in a group setting across various functionsSuccessfully presents technical informationKnowledge of PPAP or other processes related to product introductionKnowledge of ERP/MRP softwareKnowledge of measurement tools and methods (calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators, CMM, etc.)
