Our team is seeking a Contract Compliance Senior Consultant with experience performing royalty audits, franchise compliance audits, revenue participation audit, lease agreement reviews, vendor audits, and contractual based projects. The Senior Consultant can be based in our New York, NY; Whippany, NJ; East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Princeton, NJ; or Philadelphia, PA office.Withum’s brand is a reflection of our people, our culture and our strength. How You'll Spend Your TimeAssisting audit teams with planning and testing of franchisees and licensees’ compliance, financial and brand management, with the contractual obligations for all contract compliance auditsPerforming analysis of the franchisees and licensees’ financial records to determine reportable income and other contractual obligationsPerform independent research on franchisees, owners, and related parties and businesses to the contractual relationshipManage the project process and ensure the timeliness of completion, and communicate with the clients to ensure their cooperationPreparing work papers summarizing evidentiary data obtained, conclusions reached, and findings due to our clientsDocument the franchisees and licensees’ response to our testing and verify if the response is in accordance with the contract obligationsPrepare a written report with a documented explanation of the process, franchisees and licensees’ response, and the recalculation of fees due to our clients based on the reporting requirementsThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldLicensed CPA, or working towards CPA/CFE certification, or other equivalent certifications3+ years of experience working for a public accounting firm or performing contract compliance engagementsEffective client service and communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExperience evaluating, analyzing and interpreting contractual obligationsStrong excel and other data analytic software skillsKnowledge of various business processes including ICFR, Revenue, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Financial Close, etc.Desire and ability to work in a team environmentThe compensation for this position will vary by location.
