Job Description Structural Engineering Intern - Praxis Engineering Ideas Into Action.Location: San Luis Obispo, CAEmployment Type: Part-TimeAbout Praxis Engineering:Praxis is a civil and structural engineering firm working on a diverse mix of projects across California: commercial, mixed-use, wineries and hospitality, multi-family, custom residential, and bridges. We're looking for a structural engineering intern to join our San Luis Obispo office this summer.What you'll do:Work alongside our structural team on active projects. Expect to:Draft plans and exhibits in CAD under the direction of our project engineersSupport basic structural calculationsRevise and update drawings as designs evolveJoin site visits and construction-phase observations when schedules alignLearn how agency specifications and standards shape real projectsWho we're looking forSophomore or junior pursuing a degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringCoursework in statics, strength of materials, structural analysis and CAD experience from class or a prior internshipCurious, collaborative, and willing to ask questionsClear written and verbal communicatorValid Class C driver's license for occasional site visitsWhy Praxis:We're a small firm with a wide project portfolio, which means interns get real exposure, not just one narrow slice of work.
