Backed by an active owner-operator, the organization focuses on modernizing operations, improving financial visibility, and driving long-term value across multiple entities.With several acquisitions already completed and more in progress - including expansion into adjacent industries - this is a unique opportunity to join early and help build a scalable finance function from the ground up.Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and execute the full financial function across multiple operating companies. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys both tactical execution and strategic involvement.You will “own the numbers,” working closely with ownership and external partners while helping transition financial operations fully in-house.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial OperationsOwn monthly close and consolidated reporting across multiple entities Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Manage AR/AP, billing, collections, and vendor payments Establish and improve financial controls and reporting processes Cash Flow & Working CapitalBuild and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts Actively manage liquidity, collections, and disbursements Optimize working capital and cash conversion cycles FP&A / Strategic FinanceDevelop financial models for pricing, margins, and capital investments Support M&A activity, integration, and pro forma analysis Provide actionable insights to leadership for decision-making Banking & External ReportingPrepare reporting packages for lenders and stakeholders Support financing activities (lines of credit, loans, etc.) Communicate financial performance to leadership Grants & IncentivesIdentify and apply for relevant manufacturing, STEM, and education grants Manage compliance and reporting requirements Systems & Process ImprovementEnhance integration across ERP and accounting systems Drive automation and scalable financial infrastructure Ideal CandidateExperience5+ years of accounting/finance experience Manufacturing or multi-entity environment preferred Blend of controller-level accounting and FP&A experience Experience working with lenders, banks, or investors Why JoinHigh visibility with ownership and leadership Direct involvement in acquisitions and strategic initiatives Opportunity to build and scale a finance function Clear path toward senior leadership (CFO track) Growing platform with strong long-term upside Additional DetailsHybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite with flexibility) Bonus tied to company performance Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), and long-term growth incentives
