These skills include assessment skills, and the active assessment of respiratory therapies needed and procedures according to the respiratory protocols.What You Will DoMechanical ventilationMedicated aerosol deliveryAirway clearance therapyPatient monitoringOxygen and humidity therapySpecial procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. QualificationsEducationAssociate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) orBachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required)Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required)American Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred)NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)Work Experience3+ years RRT experience. (Required)Position Details/Preferred Qualifications3+ years of RRT experience is required. Previous work in a hospital is preferred.
