Provide accurate labor and material estimates.Review, support, approve and provide recommendations for improvements to documentation, mechanical designs, and manufacturing process design.Write comprehensive test plans, conduct detailed design validation tests and review results.Maintain current and accurate project notebooks.Mentor ME Interns, Designers, and Associate MEs, and MEsRequired QualificationsB.S. and/or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.6+ years’ experience in:Computer-aided design; SolidWorks preferredElectronic manufacturing techniquesTechnical expertise in two or more of the following areas:Heat transfer/electronics coolingMaterial selection and fabrication technologiesDesign for manufacturabilityMechanicsElectromechanical packaging designWorking knowledge of project management processes and proceduresDemonstrated leadership and problem solving skillsStrong writing, documentation, and speaking skillsAbility To Learn New Skills And Assume New ResponsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of one or more of the following:Industrial plasticsThermal modelingFinite element analysisTool design2+ years SolidWorks experienceLocationPullman, WA- SEL corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background.
