Roles & Responsibilities Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Communicates with physicians Nurse Manager and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's status. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition, including response to treatment. Able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as the need arises. Qualifications & Skills Current California RN license. BLS certificate required with minimum two (2) years recent Acute/Med Surge experience preferred and operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred. Must pass nursing medication test. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written. Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with patients, staff and the general public. Basic computer skills required.
