Work with us to improve the quality of life throughout Georgia through partnerships with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia Institute of Technology, and other organizations and make a bigger, greater impact than you ever thought possible.DescriptionPRN rate $60.50 hourly plus shift differential.Hours: Weekend coverageProvides comprehensive evaluations and testing, occupational therapy treatments, and education to seriously ill patients or those having complex medical problems and families which are consistent with patient's individualized needs and carried out within an interdisciplinary environment.Assists in supervising support staff and students and in developing in-service training programs for continuing staff development.Participates in routine evaluations of quality assurance activities and consistency with established standards for patient care.Provides guidance and instruction on an ongoing basis to ensure efficient operations and supervises/orients students and support staff.Communicates regularly with members of the patient care team, the patient, family members and others involved with the patient's care.Assess and assists the staff in assessing complex patients and problems.Instructs and trains patient and family regarding pertinent aspects of the patient's care.Plans, develops and implements a results-oriented treatment plan responsive to the individualized needs of the patient and includes clear, measurable goals.Modifies the treatment plan according to the patient's responses.Collaborates with other members of the patient care team and uses community resources to plan for the continued care, support and follow-up of the patient after discharge.Provides consultation and direct assistance to staff and physicians in the management of patients.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program.Current licensure in the state of Georgia from the American Occupational Therapy Association.Must have and maintain NBCOT certification.One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.Additional DetailsEmory is an equal opportunity employer, and qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.Emory Healthcare is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.
