Learn more at www.postprocess.com.Role Description We are seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to drive the development of next-generation hardware systems and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering team. This role blends technical leadership, product ownership, and team development—owning the full lifecycle from concept through production while ensuring alignment with company objectives.You will play a critical role in advancing systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, fluid, and thermal engineering, ensuring performance, efficiency, and scalability.---What You’ll DoLead & Build the Team - Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing hardware engineering team - Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Own Product Development - Lead end-to-end hardware development (concept → validation → production → iteration) - Ensure designs meet performance, cost, quality, and compliance targets Drive Execution & Results - Align team OKRs with company objectives and deliver against them - Implement scalable engineering processes and knowledge systems Be the Technical Authority - Serve as the hardware subject matter expert across internal and external stakeholders - Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights Fluid & Thermal System Leadership - Lead design and optimization of fluid flow, agitation systems, and heat transfer performance across products - Evaluate system efficiency including pump selection, flow distribution, heating elements, and thermal uniformity - Identify and eliminate flow dead zones, optimize energy usage, and improve system reliability - Drive data-backed improvements through testing, modeling, and analysis (CFD experience a plus) Ensure Quality & Compliance - Oversee test plans, validation, and regulatory compliance (SGS, CE, ISO, FCC, RoHS, REACH, etc.) - Drive continuous improvement in product reliability and manufacturability Collaborate Cross-Functionally - Partner with Operations, Software, Controls, Applications Engineering and Supply Chain teams - Work closely with manufacturing partners and vendors Innovate Relentlessly - Identify and integrate emerging technologies - Push design improvements in performance, cost, and scalability ---What You BringTechnical Expertise - Strong background in hardware engineering (mechanical + electrical systems) - Working knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer in engineered systems - Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks) - Knowledge of embedded systems, PCB design, signal integrity, and thermal management - Familiarity with DFX principles Leadership - Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams - Ability to build a high-performance, accountable culture Execution & Strategy - Strong project management skills- Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving mindset Communication - Ability to clearly communicate with executives, customers, and technical teams - Strong stakeholder management skills ---Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field - 6+ years of hardware engineering experience - 3+ years in a leadership role - Proven track record of delivering products from concept to production Preferred: - Master’s degree - Experience with fluid systems, pumps, and thermal system design - Experience with CFD or system modeling - Experience working with contract manufacturers- Additive Manufacturing experience---Working Conditions - Primarily office-based with lab and production exposure - 10–20% travel (including international manufacturing sites) - Occasional extended hours during critical project phases ---Why This Role Matters This is an opportunity to own complex, multidisciplinary systems, shape a team, and directly impact product performance and company growth.
