We reward problem solving.What You’ll DoYour future starts here! A Mechatronics Maintenance Tech at Royal is an essential role to keep our manufacturing equipment performing at its best. We are looking for someone who has electrical, mechanical and hydraulic, controls (PLCs), and or robotics experience. If you love getting your hands dirty, troubleshooting and problem solving equipment issues in production- this is the job for you!. Based out of our Cullman facility, this position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.ScheduleTraining will take place on 1st shift (8am-4pm) for 2-4 months, based on experience. Once trained, you’ll move to 3rd Shift : 12am-8am. We also offer a 4x10's shift (3rd Shift: 10pm-8am). Job Responsibilities Maintenance & repair of industrial machinery such as hydraulic & electric injection molding machines, gantry & articulating robots, auxiliary/support equipment, along with custom designed assembly equipment. Understand complex electrical, hydraulic, & mechanical systems such as:Servo electric drives/motorsDigital & analog control systemsClosed loop proportional controlsHydraulic pumps, directional control, & logic (cartridge) valvesBall screws, & precision mechanical controlUnderstand and application of metrology for precision setup & maintenanceKnowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared thermography & ultrasonic measurementApplication of education, theory, & mathematics to equipment maintenanceSkills & Requirements Ability to read electrical, fluid power, & mechanical prints/schematicsExcellent customer serviceAbility to work effectively in a team environmentEffective communicationCommunicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization including operators, supervisors and plant leadersAttention to detail Work daily with a can-do “servant” attitudeAbility to troubleshoot and provide explanation Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 35lbsProlonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping and performing repetitive tasksAbility to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)Hand-eye coordinationAll employees must wear approved safety glasses What You’ll BringQualificationsHigh school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience 3+ years of experience in the manufacturing maintenance fieldExperience working with injection molding, custom automation and PLC programming skills are highly preferred Must have a basic understanding of electrical troubleshootingWilling and able to work overtimeAbility to work 3rd What You’ll GetNo Sunday workWeekly pay$2.90/hr shift premium Quarterly bonuses based on profitabilityOwnership in the company through our ESOP plan (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)Outstanding medical insuranceIND123HP
