Job Description
Salary: 24.00/hrJob Summary: The driver is one of the many faces of the Food Bank. Many stores donate food products to the Food Bank for distribution. A friendly, thankful demeanor is critical when picking up (loading) donated food items from the vendor and delivering (unloading) to the Food Bank for sorting and packaging for clients. Accurate pickup records must be made for Food Bank inventory records.Duties and Responsibilities:Make morning runs to designated entities and load items designated for the Food BankKeep accurate records of the products picked upCall on vendors that have requested food pickups as assignedKeep up with routine truck maintenanceReport any vehicle operating problems to the Operations ManagerAbide by all industry standards, stay up to date on trainings60% of time will be driving truckSet up and cleanup of all distributions/outreachesTake recycle material to recycle centerPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GedClean driving record and familiar with driving a larger vehicle (CDL A required)Must be over 18 years oldPass a dot physicalMust pass a background checkGood interpersonal skills and comfortable engaging in conversationsMust display a positive impression to all vendors that donate to the Food BankFamiliar with forklift and pallet jackMust be able to lift, push, carry over 50lbsServSafe preferredValid Driver License
