Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team.About the FirmWe are a boutique business litigation firm in Calabasas, California that handles cases involving real estate, insurance, professional liability and contractual disputes.The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney with 1-5 years’ experience to join our firm. The ideal candidate will work alongside the Partner and other Associates to prepare and try cases throughout California.DutiesConduct thorough legal research using Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinionsDraft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda and correspondenceAssist in case preparation by organizing evidence, depositions, and other proceedings to observe and participate as appropriateAttend court hearings, client meetings, depositions, mediations and other proceedings as appropriateSkillsProficient in legal researchExcellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-organized legal drafts and memorandaEffective negotiation skills to facilitate agreements and resolve disputes amicablyLegal drafting for contracts, pleadings, motions and other documentsExperience in management of case files and documentsAbility to analyze complex legal issues critically while paying close attention to detailSalary: $100,000 - $150,000 per yearBenefits:401(k)Medical, Dental & Vision insurancePaid time offPaid HolidaysWork Location: In person
