divh2Pre-T Nurse Aide/h2pThis position is an unlicensed team member that works in the nursing department prior to the completion of the nurse aide training program./ppstrongPAY: $14.00 an hour while in training with pay increasing upon training completion/strong/ppGENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:/pulliThe team member during this prior to training period, cant perform any direct/physical patient care/liliThe position is part of the Nurse Aide Training Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP)/liliOnce this team member completes the nurse aide classes and required clinical work, the team member is considered a Nurse Aide in Training (NAT)/liliThe facility may not use any individual working in the facility as a nurse aide for more than 4 months under the Pre-T or NAT positions. The team member must pass the licensure test to become a STNA during this time period. If the team member fails to pass the licensure test in the 4 month period, they either have to be terminated or be moved to a non-nursing position/li/ulpRESPONSIBILITIES/polliAnswer call lights/liliPass ice and water to patients between meals. Assist with hydration cart and HS snack pass/liliAssist with making patient beds/li/olulliPut away patients clean personal laundry./liliStock the clean linen closets following proper infection control techniques/liliClean and organize patient drawers under the direction of patient/responsible party/liliEmpty soiled utility containers in outside trash/li/ulolliMark personal items (i.e. toothbrush, denture cups, toothpaste, etc) to prevent cross contamination/liliSet dining room tables (linens and silver ware) in prep for meal service/liliMeal Service team member is not permitted to feed any patient/li/olulliPassing trays and drinks to residents in dining room/liliDelivering room trays to patients room/li/ulolliPerform one on one visits/companionship with patients/liliComplete any other non-direct care task assigned by nurse or unit manager/liliAssist with activities if no other nursing related activities are needed/li/olpstrongEastgate is an EOE/M/F/D/V and Smoke-Free Workplace/strong/ppEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
