IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time Energy Marshall in Lithia Springs, Georgia.Job SummaryResponsible for control, coordination, and documentation of all energized systems on project site. Serves as the designated authority for energy control, ensuring that energization activities, lockout tagout procedures, and energy isolation are properly planned, communicated, and executed in accordance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable safety regulations. Ensures all energized systems are clearly identified and communicated to all affected personnel, maintaining a safe and controlled work environment across the project.Serves as the designated authority for all energy related activities on the project siteCoordinates all energization and de energization activities with project management, safety, and trade supervisionReviews, interprets, and explains electrical and system one-line diagrams to project teamsMaintains real time awareness of energized versus de energized systems across the projectParticipates in commissioning, load banking, and system testing activitiesDevelops, reviews, and approves Energization Methods of Procedure prior to executionEnsures MOPs clearly define scope, affected systems, sequencing, hazards, mitigation measures, and required PPEConducts pre task briefings and verifies all prerequisites are met prior to energizationEnforces the project Lockout Tagout program and verifies proper isolation of all energy sourcesEnsures proper application, removal, and documentation of locks, tags, and group lockout devicesAuthorizes energization only after confirming all safety and LOTO requirements are satisfiedPerforms routine audits of LOTO compliance and addresses deficiencies immediatelyMaintains an accurate Energy Control Log including energized work tracking, system status, and lock removal recordsTracks one line diagram updates and energized system changesEnsures all documentation is current, accurate, and accessible for audits and reviewsCommunicates energization status to supervision, safety personnel, trades, general contractor, and inspectorsPosts and maintains required energization signage and notificationsServes as the primary point of contact for all energy related questions on siteParticipates in safety meetings, coordination meetings, commissioning meetings, and incident investigations. QualificationsProven experience with electrical or system energization in industrial or data center constructionStrong understanding of Lockout Tagout procedures and energy isolation principlesAbility to read, interpret, and explain one-line diagramsExperience developing and implementing Energization Methods of ProcedureStrong knowledge of hazard identification and safety controlsGeneral Foreman or Superintendent level experience preferredFormal electrical or systems background preferredNFPA 70E Certification preferredOSHA 30 preferredExperience on large scale or mission critical projects preferredJourneyman or Master Electrician certification preferredSuccessfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.Company Overview: IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, a subsidiary of IES Holdings, Inc.
