Hardware Engineer, Test Equipment
Specific Duties And ResponsibilitiesCo-Develop Acoustic Test solutions for the production factory and R&D. Follow department processes; requirements, schematics, component selection, wiring diagrams, theory of operation, PCB layout, calibration.Perform statistical analysis to characterize and validate acoustic test systems.Build and maintain cross-functional working relationships both locally and abroad.Position/Training RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering plus with 4 - 15 years of experience developing hardware for small signal audio, and or large signal audio test solutions.Experience designing, building, and debugging electronic systems using digital oscilloscopes, power supplies, I2C digital bus, and standard small signal electrical lab equipment. Altium Designer Knowles and experience with at least 4 layer PCBs.Knowledge of audio or signal processing techniques, analog/digital conversions.Knowledge of structured hardware and software principles and methods.Preferred experience and or system on chip (SoC) programming.Preferred, but not needed experience of digital design techniques.Preferred, but not needed experience of transducers and acoustics is desirable.Preferred, but not needed experience of designing 3D printed prototypes. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.CompensationKnowles' Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.Competitive base salary: $95,000 - $135,000 (commensurate with experience).Reporting RelationshipsReports to: Sr. Test Solutions ManagerEE EEO-M/F/D/V#Itasca#I
