Verification Pharmacist - Second Shift

Busy independent compounding pharmacy in Pinellas County seeks an experienced, dependable Verification Pharmacist with a keen eye for details to work a second shift (may transition to days later this year). Ability to handle high volume of Rx verifications with accuracy and work independently is crucial. Knowledge of Life File software is a plus, and previous experience with compounded drug products is desirable. This is a FULL TIME position, 1:30-10pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed on weekends and major holidays. We do pre-employment drug screening and background checks. We are an EOE. Responsibilities: · Verification of prescriptions for sterile and non-sterile medications · Preparing totes as necessary for release to shipping department · Ensuring a safe and clean working environment · Adhering to applicable rules, regulations, procedures governing pharmacy practice · Providing backup for telephone inquiries from prescribers & patients · Maintaining accurate record keeping · Performing other administrative tasks when needed Requirements: · Valid current Florida Pharmacist license · Comfortable working independently · Ability to handle high volume of Rx verifications with accuracy · Detailed understanding/knowledge of dosing/administration of GLP-1 medications · Previous experience with compounded medications preferred · Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Reliable team player · English Fluency Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50.00 - $57.00 per hour Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Language: English (Required) License/Certification: Florida Pharmacist license (Required) Ability to Commute: Palm Harbor, FL 34684 (Required) Work Location: In person
